FIVE “CHALLENGES” TO WATCH OUT FOR IN THE GARDEN ROUTE!

The Garden Route – is famous for its beauty, natural wonders and fun suitable for the whole family. To experience some of the best of what this amazing area has to offer, TimeOff has compiled FIVE “challenges” you and the family need to watch out for when you next visit the Garden Route. Do we hear “challenge accepted?

1) It Takes Two to Tandem – Paragliding Adventures:

Have you ever wished you could fly? Has it been something you pondered about every night and day?  Then accept challenge number one and fly away… with a qualified tandem pilot. This adventure is a wonderful way to explore the Garden Route (especially this area’s magnificent coastline) from a bird’s eye view.

And the good news is that you don’t have to go through extensive training to do it! Tandem paragliding is available at Sedgefield, Knysna, Wilderness, George, Plettenberg Bay and Mossel Bay.

A short boat ride takes you to the area where you can swim with the seals – all gear is supplied and this activity is suitable for anyone from the age of six, up.

This unusual adventure will definitely be an unforgettable experience for you and the family.

Although the ‘Dragon’ is on private land it can be visited by anyone and although it is massive, it is still suitable for everyone that dares to accept this challenge. This experience sports awesome views and of course a 350 metre slope that you get to enjoy for three hours; all you need to pack is closed shoes, plenty of water, sunblock and of course don’t forget your camera and selfie stick!

Not one for cold water? Don’t worry – the wetsuits are super durable and are even extremely effective in fending off the cold water in mid-winter. This is a perfect way to explore the magnificent nature that the Garden Route is famous for.
